Hair Care Guide
At Lumière Extensions, we believe great hair starts with great care. Our bundles, closures, and frontals are 100% virgin human hair, and with the right routine, they’ll maintain their luster, softness, and longevity. Treat your extensions as you would your own hair — with consistency, gentleness, and love.
Daily Care
-
Use a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush to gently detangle from the ends up to the roots.
-
Keep hair moisturized with a lightweight, sulfate-free leave-in conditioner or serum.
-
Tie hair in a satin/silk scarf or bonnet at night to prevent tangling and friction.
Washing & Conditioning
-
Wash every 1–2 weeks (or as needed) with a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo.
-
Follow with a hydrating conditioner, focusing on mid-shafts and ends.
-
Rinse with cool water to lock in shine and reduce frizz.
-
Allow hair to air dry when possible, or use a hooded dryer on low heat.
Heat & Styling
-
Use a heat protectant before blow-drying, curling, or straightening.
-
Keep heat tools at a moderate setting to maintain hair integrity.
-
For curly/wavy textures, apply a curl-defining cream or mousse for added definition.
Coloring
-
Extensions can be colored, bleached, or toned — but we recommend having all chemical services done by a licensed professional to protect the hair’s quality.
What to Avoid
-
Do not use heavy oils or alcohol-based products (they weigh down and dry out the hair).
-
Avoid excessive heat and over-washing.
-
Never sleep with wet hair — always dry fully to prevent matting.
Pro Tip: With proper care, your Lumière Extensions can last 12 months or longer. Invest in your routine, and your hair will continue to shine just like you.
